These 5/8" diameter spade bits from WoodOwl are made by Star-M International who have been making drill bits since 1923. They cut quickly, don't clog and leave a reasonably clean exit hole.
They have a hex shank so can be used in both power drills and hand braces, making them popular in a number of applications including chairmaking.
