Narex Chisels are made in the Czech Republic and are an exceptional value for the price. The blades are made from fine-grained, chrome-manganese steel and hardened to Rc 59, and hold an excellent edge. This chisel has a width of 3/4".
The blade edges are ground with acute 35 degree angles to provide excellent clearance into the tight corners of dovetails. The primary bevels are ground at 25 degrees. Blades are 5 inches long and have a hollow on the back that is similar to the back of Japanese chisels. Handles are stained beech and 5 1/4 inches long, 1 1/4 inches in diameter and have 2 brass ferrules. Overall lengths are 10 1/4 inches.
